Activities in Phuket for children (Part 1)

Phuket is  great place for children, with sun kissed beaches, welcoming hosts and an abundance of activities and sports. 1. Phuket Aquarium boasts a stunning array of tropical sea creatures, both rare and common in a setting likely to intrigue the most lethargic children. The star attraction is the ‘water tunnel’, actually a large tank with a tunnel cut through the centre that enables visitors to walk down the middle while fish are swimming all around.

2. Splash Jungle water park is an outdoor water park with water slides, rides and many other activities and facilities. An extremely safe environment Splash Jungle also insists on height restrictions, pools for differing abilities and safety equipment. Even if your Phuket pool villa is private this is still a great hassle free day out thanks to the sheer variety of activities available.

3. Of course Phuket is a great destination for golfers of all abilities, as the number of clubs on the island are testament to. However there is also a golfing adventure for those future golf professionals – Dino Park mini golf! Located between Karon and Kata beaches, this 18-hole course has a dinosaur theme and lots of life like models on the course, along with an erupting ‘volcano’ and a Flintstones-themed restaurant.

4. The Phuket Butterfly Garden is one of Phukets original tourist sites,opened in 1990,  but it has lost none of its appeal over the years, thanks in part to the continued upkeep and good quality renovations and changes. The garden is home to various exhibitions regarding the life of butterflies and insects, with an outdoor tropical garden, a breeding farm, fish pond  and an inside bar and leisure area.
