Vista del Mar goes “Green”!
June 19, 2013We like to think that while you are staying in one of our luxury Phuket villas you are in the perfect position to be able to explore the island in detail! With this in mind Vista Del Mar Phuket will be writing about one of Phukets legendary beaches each month.
Today
we are focusing close to home on Naithon Beach. Only a 600m walk from our luxury villas, this Casuarina tree lined, paradisiacal stretch of sand is one of the least populated beaches in Phuket, relatively underdeveloped and as such under the radar of many tourists.
Driving around Naithon Beach is part of the appeal of the place! If you drive in from the north the road will take though a small village and a green and verdant valley, with steep hills and lush vegetation, leading to the slight feeling of entering the ‘hidden valley’. Driving from the south of Phuket a rather winding road means you will drive through part of Phuket’s unspoilt virgin jungle and along the stunning coastline with some spectacular views. It is definitely worth heading out to explore the beautiful surroundings.
On the beach it is time to relax, swim and eat! Naithon itself has only one road facing to the beach but there are a wide range of restaurants and bars. In high season you will find the requisite sunbed hire, beach restaurants and clubs, but out of season it is very tranquil with less tourism, perfect if you are looking to get away from it all, but yet still have all your local amenities nearby. In fact despite its size Naithon provides all facilities of a larger town, just without the noise and crowds.
If you are looking for a little more excitement scuba diving lessons and tours can be arranged or you can go and explore the rocky coves that are only accessible by longtail boat. Once you have had your fill of the peace and tranquility you can be in the hustle and bustle of Patong within 40 minutes, or you can just head back to your luxury beachfront villa to continue living the dream!
