Phuket Bike Week

All of Vista del Mar’s private villas in Phuket have private parking, which is great news for the motor bike enthusiasts that head to Phuket for the annual Phuket Bike Week. This annual event is always set in the month of April and is usually organized to coincide with Songkran, Thailand’s biggest festival.

The event has been established for 2 decades (2014 sees the 20th edition of this festival) and has a number of events to  entertain bikers, their friends and families, who travel from all over Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and indeed from all over the world. Phuket Bike Week has become one of the leading big-bike gatherings in Asia and in latter years  bike week has been promoting the theme ‘ASEAN Ride Together’ which demonstrates the spirit of unison among Asian bikers from the various neighbouring countries, who come to participate.

Lots of entertainment, events and exhibitions are on offer during the week. Of course there are the specialised bike exhibitions and sales, during the event, Phuket is full of big bikes ranging from Harleys to big racing bikes and plenty of spectacular custom built bikes, but you will also be able to see the Miss Phuket Bike Week competition, the ride for peace, tattoo competitions and the American Car show to name just a few.

The festivities take place in Patong and Phuket Town and early evening onwards during the week there are always some parties going on at the main stage in Loma Park and on the local beaches, and several large concerts. Phuket Bike Week 2014 takes place April 11th -14th. A great reason to get the bike out and ride over from your private villa in Phuket!
